In an ideal world, we would be bought out by some rich Arabs or Russians who would then find somewhere within the Borough to build a completely new stadium that can replicate UP.
Won't happen, but we can dream.

no goose mate, you're right there's no going back, but the boleyn will always be the barometer for what we should expect.
the dildome doesn't even come close to that and nor can it without the aid of a massive wedge of cash, a wrecking ball and developer with the kind of vision and diplomatic nous to carve us out a new chunk of east london that we can be proud of. whether it's easier to just relocate at that point too, i don't know.
probably about as realistic as winning the champion's league at this point, but what's west ham if not for chasing dreams that you'll probably never live to see the realisation of?
we're homeless as far as i'm concered. a ghost club that haunts east london, while its lifeless corpse is reanimated in a ghoulish facade every other weekend in a rented athletics ground.
i hope that i'll live to see us come home again, but until then i'll keep enjoying away games and hoping for better things, taking whatever steps possible to realise them.

I'm sure that there used to be people walking around between pitch and stands carrying trays of sweets treats and drinks *soft) for sale . Pretty sure bags of popcorn were available.

Having only been in there the once in order to confirm my worst fears, for me there are no advantages whatsoever in moving there. We're told by Sullivan himself that there's not much more match day revenue there so no advantage there.
It's easily the worst stadium I've watched football in, and I've been in scores of grounds both here and abroad. And for me that's all that ever mattered, the actual watching of the football. Everything else is irrelevant.
You're miles from the pitch wherever your seat is and in many areas you wouldn't be able to recognise one player from another you're so far away. The atmosphere is shit and there probably aren't much more than around 40,000 genuine WHU fans in there for most games so we could happily have stayed at an expanded Boleyn without losing anything.
But anyway I was saying all these things 8 or 9 years ago when most on here were gung ho for the move. So unless we get a billionaire owner with some vision and understanding of what most fans want, then we're stuck here for the forseeable.
One thing I would say, and it's something I told David Gold in 2011, all clubs with athletics bowls eventually leave to a new purpose built football ground. e.g. Bayern Munich, Eintracht Frankfurt, Juventus (Stadio Communale) etc.
One day we will do the same. It may take longer than some of us can wait, but it will happen.

All this bolocks about how great we are and how we fill a 60 odd k stadium is shit.
Firstly always lots of empty seats , secondly a lot aren’t even West Ham fans and thirdly the season tickets are reduced price wise.
I have 3 season tickets that cost the price of one old one. Put the price up to the going rate of London clubs and see the demand and attendances reduce. It’s like having a nightclub where you do half price drinks on a Saturday night. Oooohh it’s busy there the club must be great. No it’s not it’s just cheap.
I’m not slagging the fans we have as we are amongst the very best but to congratulate us for filling it out of demand alone is just not true.
If we go down I’d expect them to cut further and that gets another full stadium. It’s about spend in the stadium and in the shop.

that extra legroom comes at the cost of shitter atmosphere, shallower rake and further distance to the pitch.
fine for the coffin dodger stands but the rest should be designed around the idea that you'll be standing up anyway.

Sorry have no positives, only negatives.
1) Have we moved into a stadium?
2) It's not ours, we have no home.
3) It looks temporary, like we are there while our new stadium is being built, but this is it, this is what we have been left with.
4) Moves often are an upgrade. This is a down grade, only West Ham.
We were sold a lie and the owners are fully accountable.
The best interests of West Ham were never on the table, only the prize of the OS and £500-£600 million for the club killers once they sell what's left.
